I got a test back today and still can't get the answer for the second one. She's marked the diagram all right so where am I going wrong with this?
Did I get X wrong or was I supposed to add four onto the X as well for the final answer?(4 + 4) = 8 ?

Where did you get this?

Either you assumed x-4=0, or you missed something. Try that again -- and redo the whole problem, don't trust anything you wrote before.
