The problem wants me to find t15of the sequence -7, 2, 11,... Now I know that it's adding 9 each time, and I'm sure there was an equation to go with this, but I don't know what it is, and I don't have notes from previous years on it. I also can't remember if -7 would end up as t1 or t0. If anyone knows and can help me, please do.
 
I've gotta run, so I'll just give you this hint: Look up "arithmetic sequences".

That helps a bit, but I still can't figure out how to get the equation I know exists. I'll keep looking, but I still need a bit of help, please.
 
Trick:
when you're given a sequence such as the one you have,
write out another sequence with 1st term = 0, then compare them.
-7,2,11,20...
0,9,18,27...
