Write out the terms \(\displaystyle a_1,a_2,...,a_6 \ \)of the given sequence.

\(\displaystyle a_n = \frac{2n - 1}{n^2}\)

Any help would be appreciated!

a1 means "what would you get from an (expression above) when n= 1"

Please show us what you have tried and exactly where you are stuck.

Thank you very much Subhotosh Khan for helping me.

\(\displaystyle a_1 = \frac{2(1) - 1}{1^2}\)

\(\displaystyle a_1 = \frac{2(1) - 1}{1^2} = 1\)

\(\displaystyle a_2 = \frac{2(2) - 1}{2^2} = \frac{3}{4}\)

\(\displaystyle a_3 = \frac{2(3) - 1}{3^2} = \frac{5}{9}\)

\(\displaystyle a_4 = \frac{2(4) - 1}{4^2} = \frac{7}{16}\)

\(\displaystyle a_5 = \frac{2(5) - 1}{5^2} = \frac{9}{25}\)

\(\displaystyle a_6 = \frac{2(6) - 1}{6^2} = \frac{11}{36}\)
