A new bird would introduce a new bird to the cave every 2 weeks after first contact and one new bird every 4 weeks after that.

Show equation to calculate the number of birds after 6 months, if the cave begins with exactly one bird. Show all work

Which is it? Does the bird bring another bird every two weeks after he entered, every four weeks, or both (so he'll bring one or two, on alternating weeks)?

Actually, you are the one who needs to show working.

Please reply with a clear listing of your thoughts and efforts so far, so we can see where you're getting stuck. Thank you! ;)

Thank you so much for the reply. I apologize but the question is: the bird brings a bird to a cave 2 weeks after first sight of the cave and one new bird
every 4 weeks after that.
I cannot explain but this problem is not mine, just need the answer. If I could explain you would understand
this is not a normal situation. Please trust the good intentions. Thank you

If all you want is an answer, try a "cheetz" site (have a credit card handy) or something like Yahoo Answers (and don't be surprised with poor-quality responses). But this isn't one of those kinds of sites. Sorry.
