Hello everybody.
I found this equitation in one book, so I'm asking for Your help, if you can explain this to me, because I don't get it. Thank You.

What is it you do not understand. Is it how all the terms cancels out except for the 1st and last term? Or is it where it came from or how to write it in sigma notation.

You do know that (7) + (-7) =0. right so for example(11+7) + (23-7) = 11+23.
