Seems simple

A crew of 3 people take 2 1/2 hours to clean a house, how long should a crew of 2 people take to clean the same house? Assume all people in the crew work at the same steady rate.

I cant come up with an answer here...is there enough info?

ok its my question, but i think i have it. can someone tell me if i am right?

2.5 hours for 3 people to clean the house, so 7.5 hours for one person to clean the house and 5 hours for 2 people to clean the house?

Set it up like so.

\(\displaystyle 3\cdot\frac{5}{2}=2k\) and solve for k.

2.5 hours for 3 people to clean the house, so 7.5 hours for 1 person to clean the house

so (7.5/2 = 15/4 =) 3 hours 45 minutes for 2 person to clean the house
