Seeking Suggestions for COMPASS test

Why is math so hard for me to understand ?,I try so hard to lean it . when I do I for get steps , I'm trying to get a 40 or better on my compass test so I don't need to take a math test
prior to my chemistry class , my coworks have helped me and I do understand some and it was problems in pre algabra and algabra ..... I just need to get a 40 or higher ob the compass any suggestions?

Practice. The more problems you do, the better you will likely become at doing problems. There are many books available and free resources on the internet.

The Compass Test is, as far as I know, a placement test. The point of it is to figure out what you know, what you don't know, and therefore what class would be best for you to start your studies in. The tests "places" you so you're best prepared for success.

Don't try to "study" for the test. Instead, let the test do its job: figuring out where you should start, in order to optimize your class schedule. ;)
