Ques.- The perimeter of a sector of a circle of radius 5.2cm is 16.4cm. Find its area.
I'm using these formulas:
1) perimeter of sector=2r+2× (pie) × r × (theta)/ 360°‍‍‍‌
2)area of sector= pie × r2 × (theta)/360°

Ok. What's next?

First, pie is a eatable dessert. The number \(\pi\) is pi.
You need to study this page.
Area is \(A=\frac{rL}{2}\), Perimeter is \(P=L+2r\).

Thank you....and it was autocorrect that wrote "pie" instead of "Pi". I hadn't noticed the rookie mistake

I tried doing it with the aforementioned formula and I got correct answer. Thank you

The area of the circle is pi(5.2)^2
The circumference is 2pi(5.2)=10.4pi

Now we want the area of part of the circle. The question is what part? The answer is 16.4/(10.4pi).

The area of the sector is .....--please finish up.
