right triangle, 2 sides known, long side an arc; find points

Given a right triangle with 2 sides known and the hypotenuse is not known and the long side buts into an arc of a given radius. How do I calculate points along the arc parallel with the long side

Ralph, that makes no sense...a straight LINE cannot be parallel to an ARC .

Post the problem in full, with a diagram if possible.

If the 2 sides are known, then the hypotenuse is ALSO known, since it is a simple
calculation using the 2 sides: did you know that?

No, the parallel line is parallel to the one side of the right angle . I don't know how to draw a diagram out on the computer. It's like if you were in a building and you look straight up and see the roof is on an arc , to find points every foot on this arc perpendicular to the floor, how would I do this ? I am building such a project and need to know how to figure out how to get stud sizes mathematically. Given all I have is the radius and a point on the arc.

Start somewhere; maybe the middle. Measure over a foot with your tape measure, drop a plum bob from that point, and install the indicated perpendicular.

Can you not ask someone WHO KNOWS how to draw?

Looks like you have vertical straight lines (studs) dropping from points on an arc (ceiling), down to a
straight horizontal line (floor). Yes?

Is the 1 foot the distance in between 2 studs touching the floor (so part of arc at top will be slightly
longer than 1 foot), or is it the arc at top that has a 1 foot length, so 2 studs touching floor are not
quite a foot apart?

I still can't see why you're bringing in a right triangle. A stud vertical stud from ceiling touching
floor automatically creates a 90 degree angle with floor.

What is the formula for finding points along an arc ? For example if an arc has a radius of 100' and at a given point on the floor perpendicular to the floor that height to the arc is say 25' 5" . Now if I move to one way 12", at that point what is the distance to the arc and what is the formula? I am trying to find points along any given arc mathematically when given only the radius and only one point on that radius. Sometimes a large radius can't be layed out on the floor with obstructions in the way..
