Hello, wised!

Do you know any formulas?
\(\displaystyle \;\;\)Have you done a search for "volume formulas"?

A right circular cylinder has a volume of 500 cu in.
If the base has a radius of 4 in, what is the altitude of the cylinder?
Round your answer to two decimal places
The volume of a right circular cylinder is: \(\displaystyle \:V\,=\;\pi r^2h\)
\(\displaystyle \;\;\)where \(\displaystyle r\) is the radius of the circular base, and \(\displaystyle h\) is the height (altitude).

You are given: \(\displaystyle \,V\,=\,500,\,r\,=\,4\).

Can you solve for \(\displaystyle h\) ?

answer

ok i have come up with the answer 9.95, wondering if i am right.

It would be a lot easier for the tutors to check your work if you would post it, just like they posted theirs.

Thank you.
