Length is \(\displaystyle 9 cm\), width is \(\displaystyle 6 cm\)

\(\displaystyle A = lw\)

\(\displaystyle A = (\dfrac{d}{dl})(l) (\dfrac{d}{dw})(w)\) Setup correctly?

With related rates, all variables are to be differentiated implicitly with respect to t. If x and y are truly both variables, then you will have to differentiate using the product rule implicitly with respect to t. Try again.
