Rearrange in terms of y: x^3 +y^3 = 0
My attempt:
x^3 = -y^3
? there's nothing I can do now since I can't take the square root of a negative number???
But you'll take CUBE root of negative number - which would be negative
since
(-y) * (-y) * (-y) = -y^3
then
\(\displaystyle ^3\sqrt{-y^3} \, = -y\)
-solutions at the back says it's x=-y but that doesn't make sense
help?
