I need help with these problems Can you help me Please?
1)
y^2 + y - 12 y^2 - 4
--------------------* ---------------
y^2 + 2y - 8 y^2 - y - 6


2)
x^2 + 5x + 4 x^2 + 2x + 1
----------------- / -------------------
5x^2 + 24x +16 5x^2 - 11x - 12

First - factorize the numerators and the denominators - of all the parts of the problem.

then for (1) use the method you would use to solve (without calculator):

\(\displaystyle \frac{59 \cdot 37}{59 \cdot 23} \cdot \frac{23 \cdot 47}{37 \cdot 47}\)

cancel out the common factors in numerator and the denominators (remembering that after cancellations we have 1 left) and continue....
