I don't know how to do any of these math problems and there are a lot of them. They are word problems, I know how to set them up but don't know what to do after that.

1. Six times the reciprocal of a number is four times the number, plus two. Find the number.

What I have so far: 6 times 1/x = 4x+2

2. Ten divided by the difference of a number and one equals the quotient of the number and two. Find the number.

What I have so far: 10/x-1 = 2x

3. The ratio of six and a number squared, reduced by one, is equal to the reciprocal of the number. Find the number.

What I have so far: 6/ x^2 - 1 = 1/x

I think you have set up #'s 1 and 3 correctly. Go ahead and solve for x. You don't designate what x represents, which is a bad habit to get into. Assuming that x is the indicated number, then you have done good on 1 and 3.
