What have you tried? How far have you gotten? Where are you stuck? You formed the two ratios, adjusted the fractions so they were in a more useful form, and... then what?

in what ratio must 80 be increased to become 120.
How much is the increase? How does this value relate to the original amount?

Please reply showing all of your work so far. Thank you! ;)

please just the first few steps,
Okay- first step: think about what "ratios" mean.

Second step: write down several pairs of numbers that are in the ratio "3: 5".

Third step: write down what several pairs of numbers that are in the ratio "10:7"

Step three: compare those.

Second problem
First step: think about what "ratios" mean.
(That's about it- there are no other steps.)
