Ratio help: if I spent £818,746 and had a sales uplift of £1,292,416 what is the rati

Hi,

I hope this is right section to post the question. I am trying to work out the ratio of spend to uplift in sales. E.g if I spent £818,746 and had a sales uplift of £1,292,416 what is the ratio? Essentially I want to get to a position where I can say for every £1 spent I generated £x.xx in sales uplift. How do I do the maths to get this?

thanks

By "sales uplift", do you mean "increase in sales"? How has your class done other "rate" type exercises? For instance, if you were given "350 miles and 14 gallons", how would you find the "miles per gallon"? (Hint: Do the same thing for this exercise!) ;)
