Hello! xD I'm Cessy. I am doing reviews from what I learned in 7th grade, but I totally forgot how to do them! :eek: lol. Here are two examples of what I forgot.

1. h/-6 = 2
-->the h is over -6

2. -12+g/4=9
-->the g is over 4

I'm going to guess that the instructions were to solve for the variables...?

To solve linear equations, undo whatever has been done to the variable. For instance:

. . . . .3x = 12
. . . . .(3x)/3 = (12)/3
. . . . .x = 4

. . . . .x + 5 = 8
. . . . .x + 5 - 5 = 8 - 5
. . . . .x = 3

. . . . .2x - 5 = 13
. . . . .2x - 5 + 5 = 13 + 5
. . . . .2x = 18
. . . . .(2x)/2 = (18)/2
. . . . .x = 9

...and so forth.

Eliz.

h/-6 = 2

the divide by -6 becomes multiply when moved to the other side(change sides, change signs)

h=2 x (-6)

-12+g/4=9

move the -12 from the left side to the right side (it becomes 12 on the right side) then use the same logic as the first question to move the 4.

over to you.

Thanks! I totally forgot everything over the summer. Those help a lot. Yes. The directions were to solve for the variable. xD Thanks.
