Hi. I'm a real dummy with math right now. :( I'm taking college algebra online and I have been lost since day one. Can anyone tell me what radical and rational exponent notations have in common? I know that an expression that is written with rational exponents can be written in radical notation and vice versa, but how else are they similar?
Thank you so much.

What an unusual question... and here it's been posted twice in three days....

You say that you know that an expression written with rational exponents can be written in radical notation, and vice versa. Probably a good place to start would be in noting what stays the same in converting between the two notations, and what changes.
