-I am building a Access database to help me with chassis set up on a race car. When I put the car on the scales I would like to be able to enter changes and see the results in the database before I do all the work to change the car. -I am pretty good with figuring out equations to use in the database, however I do not know were to start on this problem. -I know to be able to make this work I need to know: 1. Each spring rate 2. Distance between the shock mounts 3. Threads per inch on the jack bolt. -A race car has 1 spring for each wheel. The weight value for that spring is calculated by how much weight it takes to compress the spring 1" ie. a 250lb spring. - Each spring has a jack bolt, which is a way to adjust the compression on that spring. Each jack bolt has 16 threads per inch. -I have on the Left Front wheel a 250 lbs spring Left Rear is a 150 lb spring RF is a 250 lbs spring and the RR is a 300 lbs spring. -The LF Wheel Weight is 730 RF is 645 LR is 865 RR is 515. -The width between the shock mounts is 43" -The length between the shock mounts is 105". -The question the formula needs to answer is, if I turn the jack bolt on any spring, 1 turn, what does that change each wheel weight to?
Thank you for all help.
