This is probably a stupid question but it seems to be confusing me. There is a graph given and a triangle is drawn and i have to calculate the area. The height of the triangle starts at the top of the y axis = 15 and goes down below the x-axis to let's say.. -10. Would the height be 25?

Silly question but it kinda confused me

File that firmly under "maybe". A "height" of a triangle is always measured PERPENDICULAR to a side of the triangle.

You'll have to provide a better description.

It is just a triangle drawn on a graph with the Y Axis as its length. The length starts from the value 15 and goes all the way to the bottom to -10 below the x-axis. the base is from 0 to 3 so b = 3.
