solve with elimination method. I know I am just making an error and cannot find help with google. I tried to simplify it by mutiplying the top equation by 6, middle by 12 and bottom by 4 to remove the fractions then solve. My answers are coming out odd and I think I am just doing something wrong. The first line I got 4x+8-6y+24+2z+2=0. second 4x-16+3y+3-6z-12=-12. third 6x+6+6y+3z-3=9. Simplified first line 4x-6y+2z=-34. second line 4x+3y-6z=13. Third line 6x+6y+3z=6. When I use these new equations I get x=-2, y=-57/15 and z=-8/5. the correct answers are (1,-1,2). I just do not know where I am going wrong. please help this is driving me mad!

x+2 - y+4 + z+1 = 0
3 2 6

x-4 + y+1 - z-2 =-1
3 4 2

x+1 + y + z-1 = 3
2 2 4 4

If/when you preview your post, you would see that it does not read correctly.

This is the equivalent of what you are meaning to show:

(x + 2)/3 - (y + 4)/2 + (z + 1)/6 = 0

(x - 4)/3 + (y + 1)/4 - (z - 2)/2 = -1

(x + 1)/2 + y/2 + (z - 1)/4 = 3/4

-------------------------------------------------

Also, note how I have placed spaces between
many characters for greater readability.

x+2 - y+4 + z+1 = 0
3 2 6

x-4 + y+1 - z-2 =-1
3 4 2

x+1 + y + z-1 = 3
2 2 4 4

(x + 2)/3 - (y + 4)/2 + (z + 1)/6 = 0 .→ 2(x+2) - 3(y+4) + (z+1) = 0 ....→ 2x - 3y + 1z = 7

(x - 4)/3 + (y + 1)/4 - (z - 2)/2 = -1 → 4(x-4) + 3(y+1) - 6(z-2) = -12 → 4x + 3y - 6z = -11

(x + 1)/2 + y/2 + (z - 1)/4 = 3/4......→ 2(x+1) + 2(y+0) + 1(z-1) = 3....→ 2x + 2y + 1z = 2

Now you should get correct values....
