Hello freemathhelp denizens!

I was wondering if who has hired a tutor before would be willing to answer a couple of quick questions I have about tutoring (i.e. your experiences with tutors and how it could be improved). I planning to do some tutoring on the side and would love to get some feedback on how most students/parents feel about tutoring.

Could you tell me…

1) Have you ever hired a math tutor before and how much did it cost?
2) What factors are most/least important to you when deciding who to hire?
3) What were your biggest frustrations with math tutors in the past?

Thank you in advance for any help :)

Some of us may have hired, or been, tutors decades ago. Do you really want that information? Also, locality will likely be a huge factor. Are you wanting to compare Euros in various parts of Europe, with yen in Japan, against pesos in various parts of South America, against dollars in various regions of North America? ;)

To find a good tutor is hard. Especially in math. I worked with a teacher of this system. The cost was about$ 30 per hour for one lesson a lot of topics you can explore. To disassemble the examples. Actually, I helped the lessons with the teacher one on one.
