Quick question about rounding...

So the question is this 8695x62577 and to round is to the nearest thousand. So the = is 544107015 and rounded to the nearest thousand is 544107000 right?

The answer is coming out to 567,000,000 and I can't see how that is possible.

Are you rounding the two multiplicands individually or just the final result?

Ok I think I found out my problem. Was thinking it was only the answer. But they weren't specific with this. Thanks
