6r^5-2000=0

how do you solve for r when it has a power such as 5?
Why is '5' different from other exponents?

6*r5 - 2000 = 0

Remove common factors.
Divide by 2.

3*r5 - 1000 = 0

3*r5 = 1000

r5 = 1000/3

r = (1000/3)<sup>1/5</sup>
