Hey guys, I have an exam on Wednesday and I am having a few problems with some of the book questions and a few of the review problems for said exam.

For these following problems I need to rewrite expression in terms of the first power of cosine:

sin^4x
cos^6x
cos^2xsin^4x

I need to find: cos of 9Pi/8 sin112.5 tan3pi/8

Simplifiy sin^2 12 degrees-cos^2 12degrees

Find exact value of csc(arc tan 5) and sin(arc cos 1/3- arc tan 5)

Hey guys, I have an exam on Wednesday and I am having a few problems with some of the book questions and a few of the review problems for said exam.

For these following problems I need to rewrite expression in terms of the first power of cosine:

sin^4x = \(\displaystyle [sin^2(x)]^2\) = \(\displaystyle [1 - cos^2(x)]^2\)....Now continue

cos^6x...This is already in the form of cos(x)!!??

cos^2xsin^4x...Follow method above

I need to find: cos of 9Pi/8 sin112.5 tan3pi/8

Simplifiy sin^2 12 degrees-cos^2 12degrees

Find exact value of csc(arc tan 5) and

sin(arc cos 1/3- arc tan 5)

Assume:

arc tan 5 = T

tan T = 5

sin T = \(\displaystyle \frac{5}{sqrt{26}}\)

cos T = \(\displaystyle \frac{1}{sqrt{26}}\)

and

arc cos 1/3 = F

cos F = 1/3

sin F = \(\displaystyle \frac{sqrt{8}}{3}\)

Now evaluate

sin(F -T)

For the other one show your work....
