Two boys agree to mow a rectangular lawn 80m by 60m, each mowing half. The first boy mows a strip of uniform width around the outside of the law. How wide is the strip?

which solution for x makes sense in the context of the problem?

one does and one definitely does not.

solution for X? would it be 60 for the width of strip?

how can the width of the "strip" be 60 meters if the entire lawn is 60 meters wide?

o......................!!!! i get it i c so their talking about the middle so the width is 10 and the length is 60?

if im wrong sryy XD

the question asks for the width of the strip, which is 10 meters.

the inside rectangle would be 60 m by 40 m ... area = 2400 m2
