I cannot think of any "practical" use of this theorem (like for me FLT useless - but so elegant and intriguing).

By the way, the picture on the cover is that of Gauss - not our buddy Steve.

I remembered a younger (or is it simply a more pleasing portrait) looking Gauss from page 1,079 of Calculus: Early Transcendentals 7e 2008 by C.H. Edwards & D.E.Penney.
