This is a homework question, very thankful for some help!
Consider the following function:
f(x)=2x^2-12X+22
a) Write f(x) in the form f(x)= a(x-k1)^2 + k2 by completing the square
b) Is this function convex or concave? Is it convex or concave on a certain interval? Explain and motive by referring to relevant theorems.
c) Will this function have a minimum? Will it have a maximum? If, so, what is the min/max point and min/max value?
d) Find all stationary points for this function.
e) Find the value of the second derivative at the stationary point.
f) Find the equation for the tangent at x=1.
Thanks for all kind of answers.
