i'm having trouble starting this problem
the graph of a quadratic function has x-intercepts -1 and 3 and a range consisting of all numbers less than or equal to 4. determine the expression for the function.
thank you in advance for the help

Hint: If a quadratic has a factor of (x - a), then x = a is a zero, because x - a = 0 solves as x = a. Working backwards, if x = a is a zero, then x - a = 0 was solved to find it, so then x - a was a factor.

Use this to find the factors of the quadratic. Then remember that you can multiply a quadratic by any constant and still have the same zeroes.
