I need help with this problem i have been working on for the whole weekend. I know how to do the problem but i cannot figure out the answer.
the problem is

-0.007x^2 + 0.109x - 0.194 =0

I have put it in the quadratic formula and my math is obviously not coming out right on my caculator. I need to round to three decimal places.
Can someone help me please?

The whole weekend? WOW.

You've got a quadratic equation where

"a" = -0.007
"b" = 0.109
"c" = -0.194

x = [-b + sqrt(b[sup:30z9sfhg]2[/sup:30z9sfhg] - 4ac)] / (2a)

Now...substitute the values for a, b, and c

Be REALLY careful about entering grouping symbols into your calculator.

I know what it is like to have calculation troubles. Why don't you show some work so that we can check what you have. I will compare it with my work and numbers and see where we come out. Watch your signs as well

Try to graph both functions (use excell, you will see that although the graphs are different, they have the same roots)
