I have to find a quadratic function given by f(x)=a(x-h)^2+k that models the data.
Year 1940 1968 1997
wage 0.25 1.60 5.15

data on the viewing retangle is [1930,2010,10] by [0,6,1]

I have read all the material and I am completely at loss how to figure out this equation, could someone please help me to understand and figure this one out. I am 43years old and math is really hard for me to understand, :?

Do you have access to a good calculator or Excel?.

I would use tech to run a quadratic regression.

To do it by hand would be tedious.

Let 1940 be 0. Then, 1968 would be 28 and 1997 would be 57

(0,28,57), (1/4, 8/5, 103/20)

Here is a graph I made in Excel.
