I dont have an idea how to solve this problem. My teacher said 5. But we have to figure out why the answer is 5. Please help me. Thank you so much in advance.

One box contains 4x5xh1 and the other box contains 3x4xh2. Now we know that the two boxes contain the same number of cans. Does this help you?

Post back and if you still need help then you get another hint.
 
Then how did my teacher solve the question, how many cans will constitute the height of the narrow box? I mean she was asking why is the answer whould be 5?
 
One box is 20*h1 and the other box is 12h2. When can they be equal? Think of the LCM( 20, 12)
