Write the property for each statement. Choose from the following properties for addition and multiplication: commutative, associative, identity, inverse, multi. prop of zero and distributive.

Prove: -(y-x) = x-y
-(y-x) = -1(y-x) MIP multi ident prop
= -1y -(-1x) DP dist prop
= -y - (-x) MIP multi ident prop
= -y + x ??
= x + (-y) commut prop add
= x - y ??

Prove: 3x - 4 - x = 2x - 4
3x - 4 - x = 3x + (-4) +(-x) ???
= 3x + (-x) +(-4) commut prop add
= 3x + (-1x) +(-4) MIP multi ident prop
= [3 + (-1)]x +(-4) DP dist prop
= 2x + (-4) ??
= 2x - 4 ??

I know how to solve the equation...I can't ID the properties. Thanks for your help!!
