These are not homework questions, I have a test next week and I am just having some problems with some questions I decided to do on my own. I was able to do all the questions without difficulty in the whole chapter besides two questions. I have posted them below and I have done them each numerous amounts of times only to get the incorrect answer. The correct answer is below the question, I was wondering if someone could help me out with a step-by-step of each problem so I can see what I have been doing wrong:
1. You are about to sue your contractor who promised to install a water tank that holds 500 gallons of water. You know that 500 gallons in the capacity of a tank that holds 67 cubic feet. The cylindrical tank has a radium of 3 feet and a height of 2 feet 4 inches. Does the evidence indicate you can win the case against the contractor if it does to court?
2. How many pounds of cashews selling for 7.40 per pound must be mixed with 6 pounds of peanuts selling for 2.60 per pound to create a misture that sells for 5.80 per pound?
