heyy..whoever..ok i need help on my math homework...

the ? is explain how you would dolve the equation x+13= 25 by working backwards?

Does your book define what it means by "working backwards"? Because all that occurs to me is "guess-n-check", and this is a very time-consuming method, especially for equations that don't have small whole-number answers.
