Sorry if I am using the wrong names, if you don’t know what I mean please let me know!
I have this equation:
y = (sin(x) + cos(x) + 1)(sin(x) + cos (x) - 1)
I have to simplify it to the following
y = sin(2x)
I have tried something but can’t seem to get y = sin(2x)
I have added an attachment with what I have tried so far.
Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

I think it will be easier for you to identify what is (a+b)(a-b)=?
Then choose appropriate a=?, b=? Show your new attempt.

You have copied the problem incorrectly (wrong sign on the first line) - but you solved the "wrong problem" correctly.

Go back and copy down the "given" problem - and check it twice. Then follow the process you followed for the "wrong problem"
