first off, thank you to all of you in advance...

im working on a math problem, and i cant seem to come anywhere close at all...

here's the problem:

Code:
In a box of crayons there are 6 reds, 3 yellows and 5 blues. Three crayons are taken randomly from the box.

1) find the probability that at least 1 is red.

2) find the probabilty that all three are the same color.

3) find the probablility that exactly 2 are blue.

can anyone help me find some dencent conclusions to this?

thank you!

You don't say if you are into combinations or not so going back to basics
The probability that there are NO reds is
8/14*7/13*6/12
1 minus that is your answer

The probability that all three are red is
6/14*5/13*4/12

The probability that all three are yellow is
3/14*2/13*1/12

The probability that all three are blue is
5/14*4/13*3/12

The sum of those is your answer

The probality that two are blue and one is not is
5/14*4/13*9/12
but that can be bbn, bnb nbb so it can happen three ways so therr times that is your answer.
