A spinner labelled with even(2/5) and odd numbers(3/5)
is spun twice

Q Calculate the probability of spinning two numbers which multiply to give an even number?

I have to use a tree diagram for this!

Help :? :? :? :?

NB Sorry keyed in wrong probability

So start by drawing your tree, just like they showed in class and in the book.

. . . . .Probability Tree Tutorial

What are the possible outcomes of the first spin? This gives you the first-level "branches" of your tree.

From the tip of each branch, what are the possible outcomes of the second spin? This gives you the second-level "branches" of your tree.

From the starting point to the ends of each of the second-level branches, note the product; in particular, note whether the product is even or odd.

Each of the sixteen outcomes is equally likely. How many of them result in an even product? Divide this by "16" to compute the probability.
