If the probability of rain is 60% on each of three consecutive days, find:
the probability that it rains on all three days,
the probability that it rains on exactly two of the three days?

Simple Binomial Distributuion with p = 0.6 and n = 3.

Let's see what you get.

I don't understand how to complete the problem. Is it possible you can give a step by step solution?

Yes. Now, if you can show me that you have a clue what a binomial distribution is, I would be happy to direct your efforts after you show me those initial efforts. I already gave you the first steps, simply identifying the parameters of the Binomial Distribution. You show me the next step.

Here is the binominal probability formula:
\(\displaystyle \left( {\begin{array}{c}
N \\
k \\
\end{array}} \right)p^k \left( {1 - p} \right)^{N - k}\).

p is probability, N is the number of trials, and k is the number of successes.
Now you apply it.
We will do your homework for you!
We are glad to help; but no not ask for a step by step.

Thank you

that's not the formula we learned in class though. Is it the same as

P(x) = nCx * a^n-x * b^x ?

YES!
\(\displaystyle \L_N C_k = \left( {\begin{array}{c}
N \\
k \\
\end{array}} \right)\quad ,\quad a = p\quad ,\quad b = \left( {1 - p} \right)\)

So can you please tell me what would be my n and x?
No we will not do that.
You have been told that we will not do your homework for.
There are sites at which you can pay to have it done.
This is not one of those sites.
Good Luck! I am done with you!
