ok i have never got probability so heres the problem:

Barbara has 2 number cubes, each labeled 1-6. If she rolls the two number cube once at the same time, what is the probability that the sum of the numbers will be 7?

A)1/6 B)7/36 C)1/2 D)7/12

I think it is C because:

1+6=7
2+5=7
3+4=7
4+3=7
5+2=7
6+1=7

thats 6 ways and there is 12 numbers and 6 ways so...........6/12= 1/2 ................i guess............... i am not sure.help

There are \(\displaystyle 6^{2}\) possible rolls with two die.

I won't go through them all, but think about it:

1,6
1,5
1,4
1,3
1,2
1,1

Now, do this for the 5 other numbers and you can see there are 36 possibilities. Now, I think you can see your answer among the choices.
