This may be a simple question...everyone seems to give me a different answer.

A printer ink cartridge states it will yield 2300 pages at 5% ink coverage. How many pages would you get if the coverage was 15%?

Not sure if this is in the correct category but I haven't gotten the same answer twice. Thanks for any help...and if you could explain how the answer is obtained.

My answer is 766.
I took 2300 / 20 to give 115 pages at 100% ink coverage.
115 / .05 = 2300 pages at 5%
115 / .15 = 766 pages at 15%

115 / .15 = 766 pages at 15%

The answer is exactly 766 + 2/3 pges.

Depending on what kind of assumption you want to make - the answer could be 766 or 767.
