Well we are in our first or second week of Pre-Cal and we are just doing some basic review. I seem to have forgotten how to do the following problems. I have two or three of each type but help on just one of each is all I would like so I can do the others myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
Driections: Solve for y and use a graphing utility to graph each of the resulting equations in the same viewing window. Adjust the viewing window so that a circle really does appear circular
NOTE - No need to help me on the graphing part if you can't via a computer, just the solving would be a great help!
1. x^2 + y^2 = 64
2. (x - 1)^2 + (y - 2)^2 = 16
For number one I got to something like y = Sq Root of 64-x^2 but the answer in the back of the book was a little different.
For number two I had an answer but can't seem to find it at this moment...I seem to have misplaced my paper.
Thanks to anyone who can help me!!! (Also, Sorry for not being able to use the correct characters for like X squared ( X^2) as I don't know how to use the other characters and haven't had time to research how. Sorry again)
