I need help in understanding how to solve this problem. Please help me. I says given the f(x) is x squared-4x+3 and g(x) = the square roots of 3-x, finf (f-g)(-1).

I assume:

g(x)=3x\displaystyle g(x) \, = \, \sqrt{3-x}

and

f(x)=x24x+3\displaystyle f(x) \, = \, x^2 - 4x + 3

(fg)(x)=  3xx24x+3\displaystyle (f-g)(x) = \, \, \sqrt{3-x} \, - \, x^2 - 4x + 3

and continue....
