Please help me! I have a test tomorrow and need help on my review. Please show steps, I am so confused and my book is horrible and my teacher didn’t go over it very well!
1). Find dy for the given values of x and dx: y=(x^2) / sqrt(x^2+21); x=10, dx=0.1
I tried the differential set up that my book has but it does not involve a square root or a fraction. I know the answer is 142/1331 but when I do what the book says I come out with something completely different that is not even a fraction. I do not even know where to start with this one.
2). Find the integral: ∫ 9z√(3z^2-7) dz
I tried substitution with this one and that did not work to get the answer (3z^2-7)^3/2 + C.
I tried this: u=3z^2-7 du=6z
Then I am not sure what to do because of the 9z? Please show me how to do this.
