hey, i have a couple problems that i would be SOO thankfull if you could help me with!

1. how do i plug this into my calc? s(x)=2(1/4x-[[1/4x]])

2. A right triangle is formed in the first quadrant by the x and y axes and a line through the point (2,1). Write the area of a triangle as a function of x, and determine the domain of the function.

thanks so much!

1) For instructions on your hardware, please consult with the owners manual for your particular model.

2) What will be the generic equation of a line with slope m passing through the point (2, 1)? Restate "y = mx + b" as the points on the line "(x, mx + b)". Note that the width of the triangle will be the x-intercept, -b/m, and the height will be the y-intercept, b.

Eliz.
