I have a problem regardding pre calculus

When a ball is thrown, its height in feet after seconds is given by the equation ,h=vt-16t^2 , where v, is the initial upwards velocity in feet per second. If v=23 feet per second, find all values of t for which h=8 feet. Do not round any intermediate steps. Round your answer to 2 decimal places. (If there is more than one answer, enter additional answers with the button that says "or".)

Re: Pre calculus

I'm not sure what your difficulty is. The formula is given and the value of two of the three variables are given. Plug those given values into the formula and solve for the other variable using the quadratic formula.

I don't know anything about the button that says "or".
