HI I am so frustrated with this problem. I am working on my final for my MATT/115 class and cannot seem to get the correct answer. Can someone please help?
Here's the problem: 3+(17-(-10) )^3/9^4 - 4. I know the pemdas rule but when I try to this problem on a sci calc I keep getting a different answer than when I do it on my own and I have to show my work on the final. So if some one could help me with the steps I would be greatly appreciative. Thanks :)

I guess never mind. I kept working it and got it figured out. I was doing the exponent only to the 10 and then subtracting the 17 instead of doing the complete problem inside the parenthesis and then taking that to the 3rd power. Once I did that I cam up with the right answer of 2!!! Woo Hoo!!!!

Huh?

In future requests for help, please post your work, so that we might try to understand what you're talking about. 8-)

Well, no harm in keeping it simple...
3 - 4 = -1
17-(-10) = 27
SO: 27^3 / 9^4 - 1 = 2
