A certain species of bird was introduced in a certain county 25 years ago. Biologists observe that the population doubles every 10 years, and now the population is 27,000.

(a) What was the initial size of the bird population? (Round your answer to the nearest whole number.)
4773 birds

(b) Estimate the bird population 3 years from now. (Round your answer to the nearest whole number.)
_________ birds

*I figured out part A but need assistance on part B.

We need to see your work, and not just the answer you got. The method to project 3 years into the future is the same as projecting 25 years into the past - except you will multiply instead of divide. "Doubling every 10 years" lets you calculate the time constant for exponential growth formula. You seem to have gotten that right. Use the same time constant with t=3 years to find the number to multiply times 27000 to get the future value.
