can anyone help me with how do you do polynomials, i cant figure it out
 
problem

we started this new work in school and our teacher does not go slow because he thinks we get it....can you kinda help me i feel like the dumbest person alive
 
It would help me more if you gave me one problem that you are working on so that I could show you because its kinda hard to explain without giving you an example, unless you want me to use one of my own examples??
 
If you have a polynomial equation, put all terms on one side and 0 on the other. And whether it’s a factoring problem or an equation to solve, put your polynomial in standard form, from highest to lowest power.

For instance, you cannot solve this equation in this form:

x³ + 6x² + 12x = −8

You must change it to this form:

x³ + 6x² + 12x + 8 = 0



That is the basic rule but let me help you with your problem
 
STEPS~

1.FIGURING OUT THE PROBLEM
ex.putting this(2x^3 + 5x) + (7x^2 - x + 2) in to standard form

2.Putting the like terms together like this

2x^3 + 5x
(+) 7x^2 - x + 2
______________

3. then you would just solve it like normal

2x^3 + 5x
(+)7x^2 - x + 2
______________

the -x become + x
wich would then equal

2x^3+7x^2+6x+2

and since you can't combine anything that would be your answer

That is as far as you can simplify your problem
