Think about the rational functions that you've graphed (and seen graphed in class, in your book, and online). Think about the cases and rules you've seen for asymptotes (in class, in your book, and online). Under what circumstances did a rational function have an horizontal asymptote? an oblique (or "slant") asymptote? Can those circumstance both occur in one function?
If you're stuck, please reply with the answers to the above questions. Thank you!
